Who We Are

Access Reality Group was founded by our president, Alexis C., who became paralysed in a diving accident at the age of seventeen. Through her own experiences navigating public spaces, Alexis quickly recognised a significant gap between legal accessibility standards and what truly works in the real world. Too often, accessibility policies and design standards are created without the insight of people who rely on wheelchairs every day, which can lead to solutions that meet regulations but fail in practice. Motivated to change this, Alexis established Access Reality Group to help bridge that gap by bringing real lived experience into accessibility evaluations. Our mission is simple: to ensure businesses and public spaces provide the dignity, independence, and comfort every wheelchair user deserves.
